Yahoo Pipes is great because it's so powerful. I created an Ultimate Sports Blog Pipe that I use to keep up with unfiltered sports opinion.

Basically you add a bunch of "Sources" link them to an aggregator by dragging the bottom of each source to the aggregator, then add a sort (by pubdate) and voila.

And if you ever need to get deeper, there's all sort of stuff there that I haven't figured out yet. Best of all - with one feed, you can then keep up in one place instead of 50.

Plus with WP-RSSImport 4.0 and Exec-PHP 4.2 you can devote a page as your RSS reader. Check out my Sports blog page.

Yeah, that sounds easy enough. But I was trying to avoid using Feedburner, so I could do it all using the built in Wordpress feed.

Ryan - it's a good idea to combine the feeds. If you put a link to the feed on your site, I think that you should be able to redirect it to FeedBurner, and then you can track the number of feed subscribers. Does that make sense, or sound possible?

I'm considering doing this for my next upgrade to http://www.dunedinicehockey.co.nz/. I want to combine the feed for the forum posts with feed for the news posts - once I get the site running on Wordpress that is. I thought there was a way to do this using Wordpress directly (albeit with a plugin) rather than using a feed aggregator. But I've spent the past 30 mins trying to nut out how to do it and have now given up :(
