How to not look for WordPress themes

| October 21, 2007 | 4 Comments

Oh My Stinkin Heck gives advice how to NOT look for WordPress themes:

  1. Subscribe to the WordPress Theme Viewer RSS feed – I never realized that you could!
  2. Subscribe to wpSnap’s blog – I didn’t find the themes on this site so great, and they seemed to be having problems, but it’s another way to track themes.

These are useful tips, but the reason I’m really mentioning this is because I highly recommend that you visit this blog. First of all – the name! Oh My Stinkin Heck?! Love it. And second, the design is really cute.

You confused me (doesn’t take much!). I thought you were implying that subscribing to WordPress theme viewer and WPSnap’s blog were NOT good ways to find WordPress themes.

I found a good site by some one called Milo recently which has a fleet of non-blog ‘magazine style’ WordPress themes … http://thewpjournal.com/

You’re right! The post is not clear at all.

I checked out wpjournal, and I thought the themes were a little over-the-top. Weird designs.

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I like your clean layout here as well. WordPress Garage, eh? Smart domain name. :)

I don’t think the themes at WPJournal are intended for blogs per se, they’d be more useful for general CMS purposes as a news type website. I plan to use a similar style for http://dunedinicehockey.co.nz/ eventually. But as a blog they would suck big time.
