A low ranking on Alexa does not indicate that the traffic is not being generated on http://www.google.co.in, http://www.search.yahoo.com and http://www.search.msn.com search engines.

I’ve heard from a bunch of SEO experts that the page rank that Google provides to the public can be quite different to what they use for their search engines. Like it’s either got a fudge factor built in or it’s not updated as frequently.

These things are always hard to tell though. You’ll probably notice a substantial increase in Google traffic if it’s a real increase.

Ryan – I tried to find the PageRank for this and my other site for a while in a whole bunch of places, and it kept telling me that they didn’t have a PageRank. I think they really didn’t.

Just because Google Toolbar says you don’t have page rank doesn’t mean you don’t. It just means that they haven’t updated the data provided to Google Toolbar yet.

And jeepers, that was a big spike. From PR zero to PR four!
