Wampsever would not open. I run Windows 7 and ran the 32 bit and the 64 bit although I am 64 bit duel core. I even tried th xammp. that did work but could never get wordpress to load to the data base I created. kept saying password and user name ok but cant acess database. I had prvilages granted to my sql and the new database and yes it was created correctly. this whole thing is not even worth it. Nothng works. I put everything in the wordpress directory correct (sample folder) So who had any ideas as I a m out of them. I uninstalled everything until someone comes up with a step by step with troubleshooting ideas that a layman can understand. I simply want this on my desktop so I can learn wordpress before going live with it on a website. I am done here unless someone can walk me through ALL troubleshooting techniques.

OK, I have installed Wordpress per the instructions and apparently all went well as I am now looking at the admin panel 'Dashboard'.

BUT, I cannot find a way to actually look at my 'site'.

How do I get out of the admin thing and actually look at, and test out, my 'site' ??
